Staircases

Steel-framed staircases with timber or glass treads, floating and monostringer designs.

We build steel-framed staircases for interiors and exteriors. With solid timber, glass or plate treads — floating, monostringer or conventional designs — each one is drawn to fit the space.

Balustrade and handrail are designed together with the stair and installed as one.

What we do

  • Solid timber, glass and plate tread options
  • Floating and monostringer modern designs
  • Balustrade and handrail included
  • Measured and installed to suit the space

Staircase types and tread options

A floating staircase, with treads fixed to the wall, gives a light, airy look. A monostringer staircase with a central steel spine offers a modern line. Classic column-supported designs suit more traditional spaces.

Treads can be solid timber, glass or steel plate. Timber adds warmth, glass lets light through, and steel plate is plain and durable.

Balustrade and handrail designed with the stair

A stair balustrade prevents falls and also gives something to hold on to. That is why we design the balustrade and handrail together with the staircase and install them in one go.

The handrail should be easy to grip and continuous. For material and design advice, see our railing guide on the blog.

Measuring and on-site installation

Floor-to-floor height, opening width and the condition of walls and slabs directly affect the design. We survey and measure on site; manufacture takes place in our İzmir workshop and installation by our own team.

For floating designs, the load-bearing capacity of the wall must also be assessed, which we settle together during the survey.

Frequently asked questions

Can staircases be made for both interior and exterior?

Yes. For outdoors, corrosion protection such as galvanising or a quality primer under powder coating, and non-slip tread surfaces, are important.

Are glass treads safe?

Yes, with laminated and toughened safety glass of suitable thickness and fixings. A surface treatment such as frosting or a coating can reduce slipperiness.

Can a floating staircase be fitted to any wall?

No. Because the treads are fixed to the wall, the wall must have enough load-bearing capacity. This is assessed during the survey.

What should I send for a staircase quote?

A photo of the area, the floor-to-floor height and the opening dimensions are enough. We then measure on site.
